What if Jesus had taken refuge in Palestine today? What if he had fled there today?

A question of undeniable intrigue. Just sit and ponder this circular voyage of mystery and see if you had as many mood swings as I did. The absurdity of it all is: It’s almost a tragic irony. The world today, which is so much more connected, also seems to be more divided. There’s so much global awareness, but there’s also so much more polarization and less empathy for the "other." The absurdity I mention might be that in a time when we have access to so much information, we still struggle to understand or live by the simplest teachings, love, compassion, justice, peace.

What do you think Jesus would do in today’s world, if he were here? Would his message get through, or would it be drowned out by all the noise of modern society?    

The Lamb is a choral piece written in 1982 by British composer John Tavener. It’s based on the poem "The Lamb" by William Blake, from his collection Songs of Innocence and of Experience. The piece is one of Tavener’s most famous works and was written for an unaccompanied choir (SATB). The music is simple, combining both unusual and traditional harmonies.
